The lockdown has given us plenty of time to browse through social media and bookmark all the different fashion looks we want to explore. Even though we can’t showcase a full face of glam make-up with our masks on, we can still let our creativity shine through with our wardrobe.

If you’re still searching for more inspiration on what to wear next, there’s no better role model (pun intended) than our favourite runway icons.

Bella Hadid

Bella Hadid’s outfit is basically the skirt version of our favourite slouchy sweatpants look. Since our sunny island can get pretty warm, opt for a cropped mini and collared-long sleeve for a breezy yet stylish ensemble. Better yet, pick a matching-coloured monotone top and bottom to make a statement without being too loud.

Since the outfit falls on the plainer (but still cute) side, it’s a great opportunity to have some fun with your shoes. Go wild by matching some colourful-patterned socks with your kicks for a pop of personality. There is also no better time to show off a handbag or backpack that is a little more attention-grabbing.

Irene Kim

The ever-lovable Irene Kim might not be sporting one of her colourful hairstyles here, but her outfit does the job.

Knit sweaters in pastel colours are all the rage now, and what better than a pop of pink for a sweet aesthetic? To keep the attention on the top, pair it with a pair of high-waisted denim jeans with a black belt to accessories and you’re good to go.

Make no mistake though; those jean staples are nothing short of being laidback yet stylish.

We couldn’t help but include this other look from her, so here’s a bonus outfit: Blazers are equally as trendy now, and a lightweight option is perfect for looking put-together even during warmer days.

Whether you have on a patterned or plain blazer, throw under a basic tee to keep your look casual. Of course, the go-to bottoms are a pair of high-waisted pants to easily tie the whole outfit together.

And because of how versatile this outerwear look can be, it is easy to switch up your overall style depending on what shoes you throw on. To maintain a more a casual vibe, a pair of sneakers are the way to go. For a dressier mood, slip on some heels and you’re ready for a cocktail night out.

Jourdan Dunn

Off-shoulder tops are a great alternative to the basic tank top look. Since tiny details are what make an outfit more unique, consider opting for a ribbed design for your off-shoulder piece like what Jourdan Dunn has on.

To accentuate your collar bone area, throw on a dainty necklace or choker for a delicate look. Keep it simple with some minimalistic earrings, or amp it up by throwing on some statement pieces for a bolder style.

It is without a doubt that jeans make a great bottom, but you can always try out some flared pants which will complement the cropped fit of your top.

Romee Strijd

Buckle up for the biker-shorts-bandwagon because it doesn’t seem like the trend is going to stop anytime soon. It can be intimidating to attempt to pull off these shorts, but if paired with the right top, this is one great staple piece to add to your wardrobe.

To keep things simple and easy, we suggest starting off with a pair of black biker shorts. We think a slouchy style looks best, so try throwing on an oversized sweater or graphic tee shirt.

Since the outfit is generally quite plain, accessorising is key. You can add on a statement chunky chain necklace to shake things up, and even pile on your favourite rings and cuffs.

Josephine Skriver

You can never go wrong with an oversized flannel: Choose to keep it on for a cosy look, or tie it around your waist when it gets too warm. Since your outwear is already patterned, try to match it with a plainer top that is of a monotone palette such as black, white or grey.

Whilst the beanie can be a tad inappropriate for our weather, a cap or bucket hat will definitely be great fashionable alternatives. Put on some tights or jeans and you’re ready for a movie night out.
