The Tik-Tok phenomenon is starting to take over the world so much so that it has provided solutions to questions we once Google searched. I’ve got no idea how TikTok figured out I was a foodie — but more often than not, a new cafe spot shows up on my FYP (for you page). After hours of scrolling through my FYP, here are the cafes I found that would be perfect for a chill-hangout with your friends, a fancy date with your partner, or a new go-to place for all the hardcore coffee lovers.

For the coffee lovers

We totally understand if you are not able to function without getting your caffeine-fix. Fancy a cuppa date on your next day off? Check out these breweries!

Alchemist currently brews at three different locations. TikTok recommends visiting their flagship store at the former Khong Guan Building, where you can witness the brewing of coffee by the roastery first-hand. With a simple no-frills approach, the cafe holds occasional pour-over sessions to whip up the perfect brew to your liking.

Tiktok recommends trying: Dark Matter, an expresso infused with hazelnut, milk chocolate and topped with a caramel drizzle

Glass Roasters

Tiktok users have raved about Glass Roasters’ replicate cafes that they have visited in Seungso Dong, a hipster neighbourhood in Korea. The newest brewery in the west makes ordering so much simpler, given the choice of black or white coffee. Take your pick and off you go to start the day.

Tiktok recommends trying: Quite clear-cut on your choice depending on your coffee preference but do grab a seat and sip a cuppa served in double walled bodum glass (which reflects the name choice).

That’s an excellent combo, we must say, for being able to chill out with friends over a quick brunch as well as go on a shopping spree, all within one store.

TikTok recommends trying: Artisanal toasts topped with Avocado or Apple Caramel; the cafe doesn’t offer a wide range of food but its a perfect hideout to catch up with your friends.
